    Emily Bolland

Emily began her dance training at Dansarena Studios at the age of 2, where she started with ballet, jazz and tap classes. As Emily’s passion for dance grew, she then participated in ISTD Tap and Modern classes. Emily has completed all her RAD Ballet Exams gaining her Advanced Foundation. She has recently gained her ISTD Advanced 2 Tap also gaining distinction for her ISTD Advanced 1 Modern exam.

Over the years Emily has participated in the pilot schemes for the new RAD Primary and Grade 4 syllabus, modelled for International Dance Supplies and has represented Dansarena Studios in several Scottish RAD Junior and Senior Awards Day. She has loved the opportunity to perform in several pantomimes and all Dansarena Studios Christmas and Summer shows. A few of her highlights were performing in several Liam Dolan shows at the Palace Theatre, Kilmarnock and the Gaiety Theatre, Ayr and she is looking forward to performing alongside Dean Park at the Gaiety Theatre in August.

She has loved participating in a variety of classes at Move It, London where she won a scholarship to the Hollywood Summer tour in 2018 and another scholarship to the Institute of the Arts Barcelona in 2019.

During her 16 years at Dansarena Studios Emily has gained lifelong friendships with both staff and pupils. Emily is excited to begin her training at Laine Theatre Arts, Epsom in September and would like to thank all the teachers and staff at Dansarena Studios for their outstanding training, dedication, support, friendship and guidance in helping her achieve her dream.
 
 

 
 
Hannah Taylor

Hannah started dancing aged 3 years with Dansarena’ s Kilmarnock Branch before moving to Dansarena at Ayr where she attended various classed Ballet/Tap/Jazz/Modern. Hannah has progressed through her ballet tap and modern exams.

Since August 2015 Hannah has assisted Miss Katie at the Kilmarnock School Dance with all the classes from Baby Ballet to Grade 3 and is very popular amongst with the pupils at Kilmarnock.

Hannah has performed in Local pantomimes at The Gaiety in Ayr and Palace Theatre Kilmarnock over a 6 year period.

Hannah has attended summer schools at Royal conservatoire. She has attended workshops at Can you Dance, Louis Spence and Move it.

In August 2019 Hannah is off to the USA on a 4 year scholarship to Lindenwood University (St Charles Missouri USA) where she will continue her training in ballet, contemporary ,tap and Jazz towards her Bachelors in Fine Arts Degree and Dance. She will also be travelling the USA representing Lindenwood University in one of their competitive dance teams. A journey which she is excited about and is thrilled to take the hard working ethic instilled by the teachers at Dansarena.

Hannah has made lifelong friends during her time at Dansarena Studios with teachers and pupils alike. Her passion for dance has grown with the help of the fantastic teachers of Dansarena Studios.

 

 
 
  Amy Campbell

Amy has attended classes at Dansarena since she was four years old, studying ballet, tap and jazz. First of all, attending classes at Prestwick before moving to Ayr. Due to her love of dance, she volunteered to assist the teachers at Dansarena Prestwick with the younger students every Saturday since she was twelve years old and it is from assisting teachers, Miss Nicola and Miss Dawn, that she decided that she would love to teach herself. After graduating from Dansarena, Amy is moving to study with Dance Studio Scotland based at Glasgow Clyde College to continue her dance training. It is her greatest ambition to be able to continue to pass on her love of dance to younger pupils, this time as a dance teacher.

Amy has made many friendships during her time at Dansarena with teachers and pupils alike. She has thoroughly enjoyed her time at Dansarena and is hugely grateful to the teaching staff of Dansarena, not just for their time and their dedication, but also for the passion for dance that they have passed on to her.
 
 

 
 
Sophie Lafferty

Sophie began her dance training at the age of 2 at Alloway Preforming Arts until moving to Dansarena Studios at the age of 10, where she continued to grow as a performer in Tap, Jazz and Musical Theatre.

Along for her love of dance, Sophie loves to sing and has had the privilege of being chosen as 1 of 15 singers in South Ayrshire to perform along side the South Ayrshire Chamber Orchestra in Paris representing Scotland in June 2018.

She has also starred in Belmont Academy’s school productions where she successfully gained a lead part in both Little Shop of Horrors, playing Skip Snip and Calamity Jane, playing the leading role of Calamity Jane. Prior to this she played ‘Annie’ in Alloway Primary Schools production of Annie.

Sophie would like to thank all the teachers at Dansarena Studios as she couldn’t have developed into the performer she is today without their help.

Sophie has been accepted into the HNC Musical Theatre course at New Lanarkshire College, at the Motherwell Campus.

 
 
 

 
 
  Olivia Gray

Olivia took her first class with Dansarena’s Kilmarnock branch, aged 3, starting with baby ballet , tap and jazz, progressing through the years to continue these classes at the Dansarena Studios.Olivia added to her busy dancing schedule in 2013 by becoming a “Killie Cheerleader”, performing most Saturdays at Rugby Park along with Open Days and Gala Days.

In August 2015, Olivia began assisting Miss Katie at the Kilmarnock School of Dance with all the classes from baby ballet through to Grade 3 where she has built up quite a special rapport with all the pupils there.

Olivia took part in her first music video for an upcoming Musician in August 2016, a great experience to be involved in. Over the years, Olivia has discovered a real passion for performing and wanted to expand on her training, so in August 2017, she successfully auditioned and was awarded a place at the Junior Royal Conservatoire for Contemporary Dance and has recently completed her first year there.
Olivia’s love of performing has lead her to taking her dance training on to the next level and will be starting with Anniesland Dance College, where she successfully auditioned gaining a place at NC 2nd Year level. She is extremely excited for this new chapter in her life to begin and wants to give special thanks to the teachers at Dansarena who gave her the confidence to push forward with her dance training.

 
 

 
 
Ellie Wood

Having started dancing at the tender age of just 2, Ellie has spent all of her dance years with Dansarena, learning all forms from ballet to tap, jazz to commercial.

Over the years, Dansarena has helped Ellie excel in all disciplines, especially ballet where she has achieved distinction in her RAD exams to grade 6 but more recently helped her to embrace her passion for commercial dance.

Ellie has regularly performed with Dansarena year on year, including Christmas-light-turn-on in Prestwick and Dancefest. Beyond Dansarena, Ellie has performed in numerous productions including 4 years of pantomimes with both Ayr Gaiety and The Palace Theatre Kilmarnock.

At the age of 15 Ellie has been offered a place at Clyde College, Glasgow to further her training and launch her dance career.
Ellie will cherish her time spent at Dansarena and would like to thank all her teachers and staff for all their outstanding coaching, guidance and support throughout her 13 years.

 
 
 

 
    Ciara Jackson

Ciara began her dance training in Dansarena Studios at the age of 2 where she was introduced to Ballet, Tap and Jazz and it was here that her passion for dance started to grow. Throughout her time at Dansarena Studios Ciara gained distinction in all her dance exams including RAD Ballet and ISTD Tap and Modern. She also had the opportunity to be part of the new RAD pilot scheme, model for International Dance Supplies, and performed in various local events, most recently The Liam Dolan Show at The Gaiety Theatre, Ayr.

From a young age, Ciara has taken part in various pantomimes as both a junior and senior dancer at the Gaiety Theatre, Ayr. At the age of 11 Ciara was accepted into the Scottish Ballet Associate Programme where she trained for 6 years. Additionally, she spent a year training at the Junior Conservatoire programme at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow.

Ciara has attended various summer schools at top colleges in London and this year has successfully gained a place at Laine Theatre Arts, Epsom. Ciara is immensely looking forward to beginning her full-time training at Laine, and cannot thank Dansarena Studios and its teaching faculty enough for the support throughout the years.

 
 

 
 
Kyra Lee-Bourke

Kyra began her training at Dansarena Studios at the age of 2 years old where she started in ballet, tap and jazz and in her later years attended Musical Theatre. She then continued her training throughout all the grades up to Advanced level where she gained high marks in all of her exams. Kyra has performed in various local shows including the Ayr Flower Show and 'The Liam Dolan Show' twice. She has attended various summer schools including 'West End Stage' where she was given the opportunity to work with current west end stars and perform in 'Her Majesty's Theatre', London. Kyra was accepted into many top performing arts colleges throughout the UK and has chosen to further her training at Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts. She is excited to continue her training in Liverpool and can't thank Dansarena Studios enough for the level of training she is leaving with.

 
 
 

 
 
  Holly Martin

Holly joined Dansarena Studios at 3 years old and has spent 15 very happy years here. Throwing herself into all forms of dance, she loved it so much she realised at age 10, she would like to perform professionally. Holly has recently completed her RAD Grade 8 ballet, Grade 8 Musical Theatre & ISTD Adv 2 Tap exams all with distinction.

She has had the opportunity to perform multiple times as a backing dancer in the Liam Dolan show, as well as dancing at the Prestwick lights switch on, the Ayr Flower Show and all Dansarena's Christmas and Summer shows, culminating in gaining the lead role of Dorothy in "Dorothy's Dream" her last ever Dansarena show!

As well as enjoying her dancing, Holly loves to sing and has had the privilege of singing with the Military Wives & Pan Ayrshire Choir where she was given a solo in one of the songs. She has also performed in local Youth Theatre productions such as Tallulah in Bugsy Malone and as Mitzi in the Wellington Youth Theatre production of Crazy For You. Holly has gained many leading roles such as Florence in Chess and Maria in Westside Story. She also enjoys performing at many Burns Suppers as a vocalist.

Holly would like to thank all of her teachers for all their help and guidance on helping her to become the performer she is today and for helping her to achieve the skills & discipline needed to succeed in a very challenging but immensely rewarding industry.

Holly is now heading off to London, having gained a place to study Professional Musical Theatre and Dance at the Urdang Academy.
 
 

 
 
Frances Maxwell

Frances started dancing at the age of 2 in her hometown of Castle Douglas where she was trained in the disciplines of ballet, tap and jazz by Miss Katie. After sitting her Grade 1 ballet exam at Dumfries School of Dance, Frances moved on to continue her training at Dansarena Studios, where she progressed through the grades to advanced level, gaining merits and distinctions in all of her exams, and performing in many shows such as Prestwick Christmas light switch on and the Gaiety Theatre Variety Show.

Frances attended various summer schools and workshops including Bird College's summer school and the Urdang Academy's Pre-Audition course. Frances has chosen to continue her training at Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, and would like to thank all the staff at Dansarena Studios for all their help over the years for the outstanding training and discipline she is leaving with.
 
 
 

 
 
  Téa Oliver

Téa started jazz classes at Dansarena Studios in 2013 at the age of 13. The following year she started taking ballet lessons and in 2015 she successfully auditioned for the ballet associates at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS). In 2016 she gained a place at the RCS Junior Conservatoire for Contemporary Dance. Téa has managed to take all these classes alongside all her RAD Ballet and Jazz classes at Dansarena Studios. Téa has been accepted onto the 3 year BA (Hons) Degree in Contemporary Dance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance in London.
 
 

 
 
Caitlin Rennie

Caitlin began dancing aged 2 ½ at Dansarena Studios. She quickly realised her love for dance and has trained in RAD Ballet, ISTD Tap and Modern, achieving distinctions in all her exams up to an advanced level. Caitlin also discovered her passion for singing and has performed many solos over the years at Dansarena Studios Summer Shows and various other local events. She performed in pantomime at The Kings Theatre, Glasgow aged 9 yrs alongside Karen Dunbar, Keith Jack and the Late Gerard Kelly which was an experience to remember! Caitlin has also enjoyed other acting roles over the years, playing Killer Queen in her school show “We Will Rock You” was also a highlight!

Through Dansarena Studios Caitlin has benefitted from many performing opportunities such as Go Dance, The Liam Dolan Show, The Gaiety Showcase, The Ayr Flower Show, The Prestwick Xmas Lights Switch On to name a few and naturally Dansarena’s very own Summer and Christmas Shows too! These experiences have all contributed to Caitlin’s desire to go on and train at a vocational level and this year she secured 3 Top London College places! Caitlin is excited to commence her training at the prestigious Italia Conti Performing Arts College in London this September 2017!

Catlin would like to thank all teachers at Dansarena Studios for their contribution in her training. They have all played a part in her journey and she would also like to thank them for their help, support, encouragement and friendship which she will never forget! She is excited for this next chapter to begin and will most definitely keep in touch! Thank you!
